Pommery is a popular sire, noble, with “excellent rideability and wonderful cadenced movements,” superb character, gaits and willingness to perform. “Pommery is a big framed stallion who is clearly stamped by his sire, not only in the conformation but also in his movements.” “Will produce beautiful dressage horses with extravagent movements.”

Körung in Verden 1993. At his HLP in Adelheidsdorf 1994 he scored 130.14 (3/37) overall, 142.46 (1/37) in dressage, 102.84 (18/37) in jumping. First year at stud 1995. Improves dressage ability and riding type.

His breeding values in the Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste 2005 were: Competition Dressage 140, Competition Jumping 97; Mare Studbook Inspections: Riding Horse Points 120, Conformation 111, Dressage 131, Jumping 93.

Sire: Pik Bube I, one of Hanoverian's very best sires and full brother of Celle state stallion Pik Bube II. They are both well known as sires of international dressage horses, showjumpers and great auction horses. Pik Bube I himself was a Prix St Georges dressage horse under Herbert Rehbein, and stood at Gestüt Grönwohldhof.

Dam: Abora is full sister to the well-known Hanoverian stallion Aktuell (outstanding dressage sire, stood in the USA and in Europe).

Dam's sire: Absatz was internationally important in sporthorse breeding, appears in the pedigrees of many top showjumpers, and was himself a “top producer of very good dressage horses with beautiful, elastic movements.” He founded the modern Hanoverian ‘A (Abglanz-Absatz)’ Line, was possibly the most outstanding sire in Hanoverian breeding since WWII. He sired 40 approved sons such as the stallions Argentan I, Arsenik, Akzent I & II, Admiral I & II, Aktuell and Aderlaß, as well as 605 competition horses and a record breaking 142 Verden auction horses. Hanoverian's best sire of conformation horses, and, according to Ausgewählte Hengste Deutschlands, he “gave the modern Hanoverian the characteristic and incomparable ‘Absatz type,’ a noble head with an impressive face, ideal neck and saddle position, light-footed paces, combined with a good shoulder.”

Dam's dam's sire: Valentino according to Die Dynastie der Hengste Hannovers by Köhler and Schridde, 1992, Valentino was a transmitter of type. He was a 159cm chestnut stallion, bred by Dr. A. Moormann and born in 1950 at Gestüt Werne. He stood at the Hanoverian breeding station in Stedebergen (near Verden) 1957-1968. He was a prototype in the transmission of high nobility and bestechender beauty. Twice he was the top horse for the Verdener auctions. Also, according to other unknown sources He sired over 200 registered competition horses and his offspring won 393,555 DM in sporthorse competitons.
