Colman “Rising Star,” a beautifully formed grey stallion, impressive by appearance, clearly a performance horse. Members of his stock are easily recognized by their free spirit, spatial perception and great elasticity of movement. Colman has energetic hind quarter action full of elasticity, his jumping capacity is sensational, with excellent leg technique and bascule.

He completed his HLP (100 day test) in Marbach 1999, the youngest stallion at the test; scoring 134.13 (1st of 24) in jumping, 113.49 (6th) in dressage, and 123.70 overall (4th). He has also won and had high placements in several jumping competitions for young horses, and in elementary and intermediate show jumper tests. Colman has been covering at Hengststation Völz, Wöhrden since 2000.

Sire: Carthago ia an international show-jumper and one of the top sires in Holstein. He was under the auspices of the Holstein Association for a number of years, before going into the services of the Dutch Nation Cup team with Jos Lansink, where he has had numerous successes.

Dam's sire: Lord became a Foundation sire in the Holsteiner studbook. He was Champion of the 1969 Approvals and later competed in advanced three-day eventing under Herbert Blöcker. He is one of the Holsteiner breed's most famous stallions and one of their best sires of jumping horses, he produced many top international competitors, 90 daughters and 60 Licensed sons. He also covered in Wöhrden for a few years. He appears in the pedigrees of many top sport horses.

Dam's dam's sire: Marlon is one of the top thoroughbred foundation sires in Holsteiner, and stands for the highest measure of riding ability and multi-faced talent, his progeny were victorious in all types of disciplines on an international level.

Colman represents the Holstein stamm line 233b, which also includes these recent stallions: Colman's half-brother Camposanto (PB Bayern), Conello, De Kooning, Loredano, the mare Curly Sue, who was the most expensive prize horse at the 1999 Elite Auction in Neumünster and was sold for 400,000 DM, and the earlier stallions Grant I, Grant II, Heimchen, Heini, Mirko, Oktavus (all of Ldb. Traventhal) as well as Leon (PB Hesse).



Colman became one of Germany's leading stallions (FN breeding value 147 points) when his first offspring proved, with unusually high frequency, to be very successful winning in jumping competitions (up to class M). Colman's offspring are internationally popular, his many impressive licensed sons include Cancoon “Cocoon”(Ldb. Neustadt-Dosse), Carantanus, Culture I (PB USA), Culture II (premium stallion), Catwalk (premium stallion, Ldb. Marbach), Con Cosmos (2nd reserve champion at his licensing), Casinos, Colmander, Colmani, Contagio, Cool Crack I, Cool Crack II, Cottbus, Casillas (premium stallion), Caleco and Coulthard.
