Trae LaPorte

Trae LaPorte is resident dressage trainer and manager at Gatewood Farms, Cordele, Georgia. Trae has trained in the USA with Danish Olympian Bent Jensen and six time Olympian Robert Dover; and in Germany with Ernst Hoyos, who was head trainer of the Spanish Riding School and coach of Olympian Lisa Wilcox. Trae was a member of the 2003 NAYRC gold medal team in Bromont, Quebec, Canada, & has trained successfully to Grand Prix level. OCTOBER 2006 - Trae (& Sherry Hill) returned to the USA from Canada. They are now based at Gatewood Farms in Cordele, Georgia. Trae is available for dressage lessons and training at all levels for horse and rider.

AUGUST 2006 - Attended the Hannoveraner Verband 32. Elite Fohlen und Zuchtstuten Auktion, (32nd Elite Foals and Breeding Mares Auction), Verden, Germany. Returned to Canada with a new colt: Dark Prince.

2006 - Trae spent the year in Ontario, Canada; teaching dressage, training horses, buying and importing horses for clients.

2004 - Trae was a working student in Germany for Ernst Hoyos (head trainer of the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna Austria).

SEPTEMBER 2003 - At the 2003 Dressage at Devon (Pennsylvania) Trae & Fleetwood won 1st place in both the Yound Rider Team Test (65.926%) and the Young Rider Freestyle (70.167%), and they placed 2nd in the Indivdual category (62.821%).

AUGUST 2003 - Bromont, Quebec, Canada - Trae & Fleetwood were on the USA Region 3 Dressage Team which won the Gold Medal.
